5016/5020 MINNETONKA BLVD

This duplex building across from city hall was built in 1950.  It was originally a two-family bungalow.

1957

In 1962 it was rezoned for a dentist’s office by Martha T. Cline and Dr. H.O. Westerdahl.

In 1969 Larry Pattock and John Cannon bought and rehabbed the building.  They called it the Insurance Exchange Building, and housed the Pattock and Cannon Agencies.

In June 1970 Larry and his son Chris, who was 15 at the time, tore down the garage and moved it in pieces in a huge Ryder truck to their lake cabin on Washburn Lake near Outing, Minnesota, where it became a boathouse that stands today.

1971.  Pictured are Larry Pattock and Barbara Putnam.  Barbara was Larry’s secretary, and she purchased the Pattock Agency from him in 1981.
