This is an 11-unit apartment building, owned for many years by Leonard A. Poppenhagen. It was built in 1949 by Modern Homes, Inc. for $68,800, perhaps for A.W. and B.P. Lampe. It had a distinctive horse or unicorn over the front door which isn’t there anymore – the Poppenhagens may have taken it with them when they sold the building in 2002.
