Park Spanish Immersion School (PSI) is located in the Central building at 6300 Walker Street. At PSI, students are immersed in a second language (Spanish) while they learn reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and other subject areas. The curriculum is aligned with the district’s other elementary schools. However, students at PSI learn through the Spanish language rather than English. The school began in 1996 with two kindergarten classrooms. Each year since then, another grade level has been added, with the school becoming Grades K-6 school in 2002. A continuation of the immersion program at the St. Louis Park Junior High serves students in 7th and 8th grade.
The SLP Historical Society has yearbooks from 2000 and 2001.
